Esther E. Gottlieb, The Ohio State University

Esther E. Gottlieb (Ph D, Pitt 1987) a Comparative International Education Specialist, working on implementing plans and programs and evaluating them. Collaborates with faulty on interdisciplinary research on international themes, and Title VI --Area Studies Centers’ education outreach and program evaluation. Gottlieb teaches Globalization and Education, Peace Stuides, and Internationalizing Across the Curriculum. Recently, she has been involved in policy research on double/dual and joint university degrees, evaluating students’ global competencies and internationalizing the students' learning experience.

Published work includes: books, Identity Conflicts: Can Violence be Regulated? (with J. Craig Jenkins) and Education and Social Change in Korea (with Don Adams); journal articles, “Making Education World-Class: ‘ThinkGlobalOhio,’” “The Academic Research-Teaching Nexus in Advanced Industrialized Countries,” “The Visible and Invisible Crises in Israeli Higher Education,” and “The Discursive Construction of Knowledge: The Case of Radical Education Discourse”; and the book chapter, “Are We Postmodern Yet?
